Nectar have partnered with Vue Cinemas and the rate is the usual 500 points = £2.50 off. My local Vue cinema is showing the adult price as £7.49. This will mean a total of 1500 points which means spending a total of £1500 at Sainsbury's new rate or £750 at the rate of 2 points per pound.
Tesco have partnered with Cineworld and Odeon, both offer an adult ticket for £4.50 in Clubcard vouchers. This is a spend of £450 at Tesco, much better than the Nectar spending required.
East Coast Rewards also offers cinema tickets. An adult ticket is 355 points. This is £355 spend on Standard Class tickets or £237 spend on First Class.
Once more East Coast Rewards proves itself as the most generous loyalty programme. It's a shame Virgin Trains East Coast closed it and replaced it with the least generous mass market loyalty programme, Nectar. Please sign our petition and help us Save East Coast Rewards.
Both Nectar and Clubcard offer magazine subscriptions. These are all better value with Clubcard or East Coast Rewards.
Nectar offers Virgin Experience Days, these are at the normal rate of 500 points = £2.50.
Sainsbury's eBooks are available at the usual Nectar rate of 500 points = £2.50.
Clubcard offers theatre and event tickets. For Ticketmaster £20 of Clubcard points is worth £40.
Nectar came bottom of all these categories for failing to offer a good deal compared to Tesco Clubcard and particularly East Coast Rewards.
